Return to your 1st love

Greetings friends 🙂

God is calling us to rest with Him in the secret place. In order to access this place we must remember the first commandment “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength…” Luke 10:27 ; Deuteronomy 6:5

This is what makes the difference between religion and relationship. Religion is able to force people to go through motions, obey, submit and try to be righteous. Relationship however stems from love because you can never force anyone to love and have a genuine relationship with them. Our Lord Jesus died for our sins so that we could be redeemed back to God the Father and have a love relationship with Him. Through this love God will pour Himself into us and change our hearts to be righteous the way He desires them to be.

Some of us have a relationship with God but have forgotten to place Him as our first love in our hearts, which is what He so desires. I’d like to encourage us all to fall in love with God again. Spend time seeking Him and tell Him how much you love Him. It simply starts with you taking time out of your day, to be present with God.

I pray that we would all spend time seeking our amazing God and lay our hearts before Him in pure love. I bless us with this, in Jesus’s precious name, amen.

Holy! Holy!

Holy Holy! Holy Holy!
Are you Lord God Almighty
You are worthy! Oh so worthy!
So we sing you our praises
Glory Glory! Glory Glory!
Nothing can beat your Glory
There is none like you, there is none like you

Alleluia! Alleluia!
Your majesty’s all around us
You are worthy! Oh so worthy!
So we sing you our praises
Glory Glory! Glory Glory!
Nothing can beat your Glory
There is none like you, there is none like you

We are blessed! We are blessed!
Because you call us by name
We are blessed! We are blessed!
Because you came and redeemed us
So we sing! So we sing!
Alle-luia! Alle-luia!
Blessed be your Holy name
Amen

Lets thirst after God!

I was praying this morning and I felt strongly that God wants His bride to wake up and thirst for Him.

In the bible we read that the early church continually gave themselves to fasting and prayers in order to follow Jesus. They were hungry for God and demonstrated this through fasting and praying. Fasting doesn’t only have to be from food, it is also from worldly pleasures and dedicating our time to show God that we are willing to turn our hearts towards Him and draw closer to Him.

Bare in mind, we don’t forsake things to be good enough for God or gain access to His love, God loves us unconditionally. What I mean is that the more we do give up for God after having received His love first, the more we can walk deeper into His love walk victoriously and experience it in our lives. I believe that the more we pray, turn away from sin, and give up things to seek God, the more He can show Himself to us. It is in fact mandatory if we want to develop a relationship and become Jesus’s disciple.

God promised us, if we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us. James 4:8 , Jeremiah 29:12-13

I bless you all with Abba God’s love and with a hunger to thirst after Him and His righteousness, in Jesus name, amen.

What is Pentecost?

It was on the day of Pentecost that Jesus’s disciples received the Holy Spirit as they were praying in the upper room. The Holy Spirit came like a rushing wind, set on each believer like tongues of fire and they began speaking in tongues. Acts 2:1-6
The disciples then became emboldened to preach the gospel and their faith was strengthened.

I believe that since that day all those years ago, a special outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit now pours out every year at Pentecost – this year 2020 it was May 28 – 30. The Holy Spirit that fell on Jesus’s disciples is available for you to receive today and is essential in the life of every believer, in order for you to walk closely with Lord Jesus in love and holiness. All you have to do is believe and ask God for it, you don’t have to wait once a year!

Pentecost is originally the Jewish festival of Shavuot, the feast of weeks. This originated when Moses received the law and commandments from God on Mount Sinai Exodus 24:12. Today we celebrate this day because thanks to the sacrifice our Lord Jesus made for us on the cross, the law has been fulfilled through Him and we can access The Holy Spirit. How wonderful!

I bless you with Abba God’s love and pray that He pour out His Holy Spirit upon you and into your spirit, in Jesus name, amen.

The Power of Prayer

Greetings friends. Saints I’d like to encourage you to know that God indeed hears our prayers. As I was praying for my city, London and The UK, I felt the presence of God come upon me and I heard the Holy Spirit speak to my spirit saying,

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (KJV)

This scripture is found in James 5:16 and I would recommend reading verses 13-18.

James talks about praying during affliction, happiness, sickness and mentions that we should confess our faults to one another so that through prayer we may be healed. I feel that James is basically saying that as righteous believers our prayers are powerful and that we need to live a life of prayer in every situation we face and for whatever our heart desires.

Sometimes as we are praying it can feel like we aren’t sure if God hears us but the bible tells us that God does hear the prayers of his saints and if we pray in accordance to His will, He will answer our prayers. I wanted to share this to encourage us to keep praying and strengthen our faith to know that our prayers are being heard.

Other scriptures on prayer:
Philippians 4:6-7
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

I bless you with Gods love, the ability to pray and the power to believe your prayers are being heard in Jesus name, Amen.
