What I believe

Though there are many ‘powers’ and things humans worship as gods, there is only one true living God, expressed in three persons; God the Father, God the Son who is Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Humans should only worship God and have no other gods nor dabble in the occult or worship any other thing.

The holy bible is the infallible word of God, written by man directly inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is a lamp to our feet and light to our paths.

Lord Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, was resurrected and ascended into heaven. He will come again to fetch His purified bride who is the church made up of Jews and gentiles.

‘For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His son to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved’

John 3:16-17

A man/woman must be born again to be able to see the Kingdom of heaven. This happens through acknowledging their need for Lord Jesus as saviour and a sincere confession of belief in the above. Then Holy Spirit will come and dwell within their spirit.

Because of Lord Jesus’s death and resurrection each person can now have a personal relationship with Him and God the Father (Abba) through the Holy Spirit. This was the reason for Lord Jesus’s death, and through His precious blood we can be made righteous the way God intended us to be.

A believer needs to walk closely with God in a love relationship so that God can step by step transform them into His image and likeness.

All the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12 are still active today and given by Holy Spirit as He sees fit.

The spirit realm, heaven and hell are very real. Hell was not created for humans but you have to accept Lord Jesus in order to be saved and go to heaven. Lord Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.

The spirit realm is real. If it’s Gods will for us to interact with it, then He will give us visions and experiences through His Holy Spirit, at His own timing and will. We can ask God for visions but always keep in mind that our main aim is to love God for who He is and follow Him, not seek spiritual encounters. We 1000 % should NOT access the spirit realm through the occult or any other way other than through Holy Spirit, on His own terms.

As believers we need to accept that we adopted many beliefs, ways and mindsets prior to being saved (result of living in a sinful world) which we utterly need to let go of. We do this through prayer and renewing our minds with the truth, the word of God. This will help us to walk into and abide in the will of Father God (Romans 12:2) and enable us to be open to His Holy Spirit to change us day by day.

Spiritual warfare is real. Yes God protects us but we are not meant to be wholly ignorant of the devils schemes. We should live each day putting on the armour of God (Ephesians 6:11-18) and trust that God will teach us how to war (Psalm 144:1).

Once saved, I believe we have the responsibility to actively seek a love relationship with God and submit to the lordship of Jesus by turning from willful sin and making Him the most important ‘thing’ in our lives, our first love. This is true worship.
